This project
involved renovating an entire floor of an existing high-rise
research tower at the University of California, San
Francisco. The program consists of space for five principal
investigators including open
laboratories, support rooms including an imaging laboratory
for use of microscopes, computer based imaging and video,
two tissue culture rooms, and a room to house refrigerators
and centrifuges, a Histology Laboratory, computer facility,
equipment room, cold room and a specialized laboratory,
and offices and support spaces.
4 Years have elapsed between original
Schematic Design and our current state of Construction
Document Preparation and Early Demolition Phase. BlakeDrucker
Architects has actively participated in Grant writing,
Value Engineering, Estimating, and now full A/E services.
This project is being done entirely in 3D BIM.
